Val di Fiemme
Val di Fiemme (German Fleimstal) is a Ladin valley in the Dolomites and it’s located in Trentino, whose natural borders are the Lagorai and the Latemar mountain massifs. One of its most famous mountain resorts is Cavalese, where the Cermis ski- and chairlifts are located. The Passo Lavazè ski resort offers the possibility of trying Nordic skiing and of taking part into snowshoe hiking trips. The Paneveggio forest is also located in Val di Fiemme and it’s famous thanks to the high acoustic quality of its wood. The wood coming from this forest is used to produce musical instruments still nowadays. The amazing abundance of animals and plants let the Paneveggio forest a “must” if you spend your holidays in the Dolomites here. Nordic ski fans can book their Trentino holidays in Tesero, where the 1991 World Championships of cross-country skiing took place.
