Val di Fassa
Val di Fassa (German: Fassatal, Ladin Val de Fascia) is the other Trentino Ladin valley, where are located famous mountain resorts like: Moena, Pozza di Fassa, Vigo di Fassa, Canazei, Campitello di Fassa. They all are included in the “Dolomiti Superski” skizone, the biggest and most modern in the world. Val di Fassa is characterized by the Catinaccio (German: Rosengarten, Ladin Ciadenac) mountain massif, which lets this valley be one of the most popular destination for winter and summer holidays in Trentino and in the Dolomites. The most famous mountain resort in Val di Fassa is Moena with no doubts, located in the center of the “Tre Valli” (Three Valleys) plain, easy to reach from Val di Fiemme as well. The most interesting hiking trips in Val di Fassa start from Vigo di Fassa, at the foot of the Catinaccio mountain massif. Moreover, Vigo di Fassa is the center of the Ladin culture in this valley.
